South Jerrabomberra Town Park

July has been a transformative month at the South Jerrabomberra Town Park, with the site evolving rapidly as many key features come together. A number of major installations have now been completed, giving the park a clear sense of its future character and creating inviting spaces for the community to enjoy. Seating has been installed under the main BBQ shelter as well as in the three smaller shelters, and the BBQ unit itself is now in place. The toilet block fit-off has also been finalised, marking another significant milestone.

Landscaping works have progressed beautifully throughout the month. All grassed areas have been seeded and hydromulched, the garden beds are fully established—including the vibrant garden bed surrounding the splashpad—and all tree planting is complete. The irrigation system is now fully installed, ensuring the new greenery is well supported as it establishes.

Most of the concrete works across the park have been wrapped up, with only the BBQ area remaining. Finishing touches have also started to appear around the site: all animal sculptures have been installed, bringing playful personality to the park, and the timber bollards and chains are now in place. The water meter pit has been installed as well, with just the galvanised lid still to be fitted.

With July’s progress, the Town Park is edging ever closer to becoming the vibrant community destination it’s envisioned to be, and excitement continues to build as we look ahead to the final stages.

South Jerrabomberra Dog Park

July has brought the Dog Park right to the brink of completion, with the final touches now being put in place ahead of the upcoming residents’ First Look event. The team has been busily refining the grassed areas, completing seeding and irrigation works to ensure the park’s open spaces are healthy, green, and ready for eager pups to explore. These finishing steps are helping the landscape settle in beautifully and will give visitors a great first impression when the gates open.

A major milestone this month has been the planting of the orchard trees, which now stand proudly along the park’s edge. This feature not only adds shade and visual interest but will become a lovely long-term amenity as the trees grow and mature.

With landscaping nearing completion and only minor elements left to wrap up, the Dog Park is almost ready to welcome the community. The site is now coming together exactly as envisioned—a vibrant, playful, and engaging space for both dogs and their humans to enjoy.
