August has marked another strong month of progress across the South Jerrabomberra community spaces, with the project continuing to move steadily toward completion. On the Town Park, the BBQ area has now been fully completed, including the installation of the chimneys—giving the space a finished and welcoming look as we edge closer to opening day.

Behind the scenes, preparations are also underway for the formal commissioning of the splashpad. While this technical process takes place quietly in the background, it represents an important step toward getting the play space fully operational for future visitors.

This month also brought an exciting milestone for the community. Over the weekend, Village Building Co. welcomed South Jerra residents for an exclusive first-look tour of the new amenities. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the Town Park, Dog Park, and Community Centre ahead of their official opening, giving residents a sneak peek at the spaces they’ll soon be able to enjoy. The event added a wonderful sense of momentum and connection as the development nears completion.

With major structural and landscape elements now in place and only the finishing touches left to go, August has brought us firmly into the home stretch. The precinct is looking more vibrant and community-ready each day, and excitement continues to build as we prepare for the official opening of these new spaces.
