South Jerrabomberra Town Park & Community Centre Now OpenOur South Jerra Town Park Grand Opening was a great success, and we’re thrilled to officially welcome everyone to the vibrant new space! This wonderful facility is already becoming a hub for families and visitors from across the region.

The splash park, playground, learn-to-ride track, community centre, outdoor gym, basketball half court and village green are all bringing the community together. It’s been fantastic to see so many families enjoying the new amenities.

We’re excited to see its continued growth!South Jerrabomberra Unveils New Town Park & Community Centre — A Vibrant New Heart for the CommunityThe Village Building Company, in partnership with Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC), is proud to announce the official opening of the South Jerrabomberra Town Park and Community Centre — a major milestone for this fast-growing community.Opening on Saturday 15 November 2025, the new 2.5-hectare Town Park sets a new benchmark for family recreation in the region.

It features the region’s largest free splash pad, a fun learn-to-ride track with traffic lights and signage, a large all-abilities playground, outdoor gym, half basketball court, BBQs, Village Oval, picnic shelters, and beautifully landscaped open spaces designed for year-round enjoyment.Located alongside the park, the new Community Centre introduces four flexible function rooms, two kitchens and a bar area, offering space for workshops, celebrations and community events. Bookings will be managed by QPRC and open immediately following the launch.Sustainability is built into the design, with the Community Centre powered by solar panels and on-site battery storage, supporting off-grid operation and powering key park amenities, including lighting and the splash pad.The launch event will run from 10am–2pm, featuring live entertainment, food stalls, kids’ activities, outdoor games and giveaways.

It follows the success of the recent Dog Park opening — another milestone in South Jerrabomberra’s evolution.The project received support through the NSW Government’s Regional Job Precinct Program, including $150,000 toward the learn-to-ride facility.“This project is a shining example of what Village stands for — building innovative, thriving communities that bring people together,” said Rob Fisher, Deputy CEO, The Village Building Company.“These facilities give residents a place to gather, celebrate and enjoy,” added Jamie Cregan, General Manager ACT.NSW Minister for Regional Development and local resident Tara Moriarty praised the project as “a wonderful milestone”, while QPRC Mayor Kenrick Winchester noted the park will become “a place for everyone to relax, play and connect.”Looking ahead, the Town Park and Community Centre will be followed by construction of the South Jerrabomberra Town Centre, commencing in early 2026 and opening in 2027, delivering a supermarket, cafés, retail and specialty stores — a vibrant lifestyle hub for the community.
