NOW OPEN! πΎπ
The wait is over β the South Jerrabomberra Dog Park at Tralee has officially opened, and what a launch it was!
A Community Celebration
On a sunny Saturday morning, residents, families, and their four-legged friends joined us for a fantastic day of celebration. The event began with a Welcome to Country from Deputy Mayor Esma Livermore, followed by speeches from Rob Fisher (Village Building Co. Deputy CEO), QPRC Mayor Kenrick Winchester, and Minister Steve Whan. Their words reflected the importance of community spaces like this one β places where people and pets can come together to connect, play, and thrive.
Event Highlights
From the moment the ribbon was cut, the Dog Park was buzzing with activity. Some highlights included:
-
A paw-some obedience demonstration by the @actcompaniondogclub that had tails wagging and crowds cheering.
-
Delicious food and coffee stalls, plus community partner stalls to explore.
-
Music, gift bags, treats, photo ops, and of course, plenty of furry meet & greets.
It was the perfect way to welcome this new space into the heart of South Jerra.
A Space for Everyone
The South Jerrabomberra Dog Park is more than just a park β itβs a place designed for connection. With open runs, play areas, and space for both large and small dogs, it will be a hub of activity and joy for years to come.
Weβre proud to deliver this amenity for our community and canβt wait to see residents (and their pups!) making the most of it.
